Pottok are local horses, a breed in their own right. They are released into the wild by breeders for the sole purpose of grazing in pastures. They do not produce meat and are not ridden. They have been part of the Basque landscape for generations. They remain semi-wild, be careful, they can be docile or wild, especially when there are young.

Culminating at 962 meters, Larrateko Egia is located on the GR 10 path towards Iparla. In addition to offering a breathtaking panorama of the Basque Country, the summit gives an overview of the verticality of the Iparla ridges.

Mount Artzamendi is reached by a short but particularly demanding climb. From Laxia, the climb is 5.6 kilometers at an average of 11% with passages at 19%. At the top, the panorama of the Basque Country extends practically to the Atlantic coast.

The Astate is a peak culminating at 1,022 meters above sea level on the ridges of Iparla. Located on the GR 10 and right on the Franco-Spanish border, it offers extraordinary views of the Pyrenees chain.
