The term "Radlertreff zur Beichtmutter" (Cyclists' Meeting Place at the Confessor) is a charming, almost legendary name for a rest stop on the Austrian Danube Cycle Path, known above all for its friendly, family atmosphere. The name comes from the owner, who is affectionately called "the confessor" by regulars and cyclists – presumably because she not only serves food and drink but also always has a sympathetic ear for the worries and stories of passing cyclists. It's not a classic restaurant, but rather a rustic snack bar or a "snack garden." It's the kind of place where you quickly strike up a conversation with other travelers.

The Vienna-Lobau National Park House is the official visitor center for the Viennese section of the Danube-Auen National Park and serves as a central hub for information and environmental education. It offers exhibitions, multimedia stations, and a small cinema that provide insights into the floodplain landscape and its flora and fauna. The offerings are complemented by a spacious outdoor area with a garden, adventure playground, and picnic facilities. The National Park House is an ideal starting point for excursions and explorations in the Lobau and makes the natural environment of the national park vividly accessible to visitors.

Here, the Schillerwasser, a near-natural oxbow lake of the Danube, stretches out, forming an important part of the historic floodplain landscape. Surrounded by riparian forest and dense bank vegetation, the area retains its tranquil, pristine character and serves as a valuable habitat for numerous animal and plant species. Well-connected cycle paths run along the waterway, ideal for rides through the greenery and offering a rare combination of experiencing nature and exercise right in the heart of the city.
