Good place to stop for a break halfway from Les Mosses to the summit in a very beautiful location. When the weather is good, the terrace is simply wonderful.

Looking out over Lake Geneva from an altitude of 1000 metres, the Cauxcentre can accommodate up to 400 people. Formerly the Caux-Palace Hotel, in 1946 it became an international meeting place, thanks to the generous contributions in time, talent and money of many volunteers. The view of Lake Geneva and Mt. Blanc in the background is said to be breathtaking. Unfortunately, the weather conditions on my tour weren't quite perfect.

Summit without summit cross at 2331m. When climbing the southeast ridge (Alpine hiking trail "white-blue-white"), there are ladders, railings, many iron clamps, chains and many wire ropes on the mountain, so well secured if you are free from giddiness and can show sure-footedness.

The small hosted hut is located in a cozy valley. The hosts are friendly, there are good drinks and even cheese fondue. However, there is no electricity and therefore no extra chilled drinks and no ice.
