Since 2023, the Upper Swabian carnival stronghold of Aulendorf has had a year-round showpiece commemorating the fifth season – the Eckhex now stands guard in front of the castle!

The bronze corner witch is a new landmark at the Hexeneck in Aulendorf, donated by the Burger family and unveiled in 2023. It is a popular photo subject, especially during Fasnet, and can be positioned so that Aulendorf Castle can also be seen in the background, according to the Aulendorf Carnival Association. The corner witch is a bronze figure erected by the Aulendorf Carnival Association.

Beautiful view of the castle

This magnificent, colorful wayside cross stands at the edge of Reute toward Obermöllenbronn, right next to the herb garden of Reute Monastery. No further information about it could be found online.

Beautifully situated on the Steinach stream, this small 18th-century chapel is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. A table and two benches stand by the stream in front of the door. This idyllic setting invites you to linger for a while. Depending on the time of day, the trees also provide some shade for the overheated hikers and cyclists. The chapel was built in 1793 by local farmers Anton Bächtinger and Johann Georg Bendel. The interior was renovated in 1907. The shrine testifies to the veneration of Mary.
