The village of Béost is particularly peaceful and welcoming, beautifully preserved by the municipality and its residents, who have skillfully drawn visitors to the rich ornamentation of the doorways surrounding the old houses. Enjoying ample sunshine near Laruns, yet sufficiently removed from the hustle and bustle, it offers an ideal base for exploring the cultural, tourist, and sporting attractions of the surrounding area.

On this trail, you have superb views of Gourette, but particularly of its environment and the mountains which surround the village. This spot allows you to realize the magnificent preserved setting in which the inhabitants of Gourette live.

The Andreyt ridges are one of three lines of ridges that converge on Soum de Grum. They therefore complete the trio with the crests of Grum and those of Laudège.

Soum de Grum is a small summit dominating the mythical Col d'Aubisque at 1,870 meters above sea level. It offers a beautiful panorama over the summits of the Ossau valley and Western Bigorre.

The Col d'Aubisque is a true myth of the Pyrenees. Culminating at 1,709 meters above sea level, it is difficult to separate from its neighbor: Soulor. The climb from Laruns is 16.6 kilometers long for an average of 7.17%. It crosses the Eaux-Bonnes spa resort as well as the Gourette ski resort. The slope towards Soulor constitutes a magnificent belvedere over the Litor cirque.

This natural site amazes visitors to the upper Ouzom valley. The Litor designates the limestone slopes which flow onto the pastures below. “Lit” comes from Occitan toponymy to designate avalanches. Which says a lot about the harshness that this magnificent natural site may have experienced.
