We were looking forward to cycling along the canal, but that's not possible for now; you have to take a small detour, as Komoot shows the canal's side trails, but there are no bike paths. The bridge, however, with its turquoise blue color, made us happy. These steel bridges are obviously much more durable than our concrete bridges.

After World War II, an erection committee for a war memorial was set up in Chaillevois. It was built in memory of the dead of the two wars, the First World War (1914-1918) and the Second (1939-1945). The inauguration of the monument took place on November 11, 1946 under the chairmanship of Mr. Leroux, director of the combatant and prisoner's office. Located in the middle of the village's Grande Rue, it is always carefully maintained by the municipalities. It is the meeting place for residents, several times a year, for official ceremonies [26].

The church is located in the town of Chaillevois, in the department of Aisne. It is built at the top of the village, away from the departmental road which crosses the bottom of the village. The remarkable and very old church of Chaillevois, built in a very beautiful natural site, offers us a typical example of these monuments which began there to multiply in Laonnois and Soissonnais.
