The Haune Dam of the Haune Water Association is a small dam and reservoir and at the same time a flood retention basin on the Haune near the village of Marbach in the eastern Hessian district of Fulda and belongs to the catchment area of the Weser source river Fulda.

The Haunestausee is an oasis of peace and relaxation. Before this dam was built, the annual floods in the Haunetal valley caused considerable damage, especially during the spring floods. A walk around the lake, delicious coffee and cake in the Zellmühle or just sitting on a bench and relaxing - all of this is possible here.
