The old railway line linking Calais to Anvin has been partly transformed into a greenway. From Lumbres to Remilly-Wirquin, you can enjoy more than 5km of walking in the heart of nature! Here, you only come across hikers, horse riders or cyclists, enough to enjoy in complete tranquility along the Aa.

Museum on the ruins of the Confoss mill, explains papermaking, from its first beginnings in China to the modern paper industry. It also organises exhibitions on paper and cardboard. In the workshop, visitors can make a sheet of paper themselves to the rhythm of the paddle wheel.

Along the Aa, you can admire the historic paper mills of Hallines. The Pidoux mills are two stone buildings dating from the 15th century. They were used to produce high quality paper for the administration, the national printing press and famous artists.
