Once home to the second largest quarry in the world. Now the largest cavern in Europe and housing the Dinorwig power station, popularly known as Electric Mountain; deliberately, carefully and beautifully invisible, concealed inside a giant cavern carved out of a mountain.
It makes for a great hike too, where you can still see much of the history of the slate giant.
