Callander to Lochan Chip (Allt a' Chip Dhuibh) & rtn.

This route takes you from Callander along the Invertrossachs Rd (NCR 7) to East Lodge on the banks of Loch `Venachar. From there it turns south west and follows the forestry road uphill towards Lochan Chip. At the fishermans hut there is a bench where you can take a well earned break with views over this beautiful little lochan. Once back in the saddle follow the gravel road along the side of the locham for about 250 metres before you head up hill and north through the Bealach nan Cairn and onwards towards Invertroassachs road again for the return to Callander. Continue on the tarred road all the way into town or, turn right into the forrestry carpark just after Wheels Cycle Centre to follow the gravel road and track through Coilallan Woods bringing you onto tar once more on the A81. Left turn towards the roundabout will put you back onto the NCR 7 and into town.
