    Non lontano da qui si trova la centrale elettrica di Annabrücke, motivo per cui la Drava è arginata qui. Ecco perché qui è particolarmente ampio e scorre tranquillo, in modo che le montagne si riflettano in esso. Con la giusta luce, la vista è davvero magica!

    Linsendorf si trova nel comune di Gallizien, nella Carinzia meridionale, tra il lago Klopeiner See e la regione della Carnica, direttamente sulla Drava. Più precisamente, tra il corso principale di questa possente corrente fluviale e il suo antico braccio.

    L'isola è stata creata per caso e per ragioni puramente pragmatiche quando alla fine degli anni '70 è stata costruita la centrale idroelettrica di Annabrücke. In questo punto è stata conservata parte dell'antico letto del fiume e il corso d'acqua principale è stato raddrizzato in modo da utilizzare la forza dell'acqua per generare energia.
