Circa 30 anni dopo la sua costruzione furono aggiunti una segheria e una macchina a vapore. Questi miglioramenti hanno lasciato il posto a tecnologie più avanzate nel corso degli anni. Tuttavia, il mulino è sopravvissuto ed è stato restaurato due volte alla fine del XX secolo.
Il mulino è tornato in funzione saltuariamente dal 1990 e macina esclusivamente con l'energia eolica.
