    Situato vicino a Gand, il castello di Laarne è un sublime castello del XIV secolo ed è considerato uno dei castelli fortificati meglio conservati delle Fiandre. Fu protetto come monumento durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale e negli anni '60 subì un accurato restauro, compreso il corpo di guardia e i padiglioni.
