    Il castello di Oberhöflein viene menzionato per la prima volta nel XIII secolo. Nel 1578 era di proprietà di Andreas Kielman von Kielmannsegg. Nel 1658 Ernst Ferdinand Freiherr von Breuner acquistò il castello. Le conversioni furono effettuate nel XVI secolo e nel 1724 da Matthias Freiherr von Suttner. Da allora è di proprietà dei Baroni von Suttner. Nel 1945, tra l'altro, la sala fu danneggiata da un incendio.
