    Dalla pista ciclabile direttamente sulla Werra si raggiunge in brevissimo tempo il bellissimo centro storico. Sul mercato locale puoi fare una pausa e lasciare che il trambusto lavori su di te.

    Molto bello il municipio storico direttamente sulla piazza del mercato.

    Molto bello, piccolo centro storico, che vale la pena visitare durante una pausa. Vale anche la pena fare un giro in bicicletta Werra come destinazione o punto di partenza, ad esempio a monte di Bad Sooden-Allendorf o di Hann. bocche a valle.

    Lo storico municipio di Witzenhausen fu costruito nel 1590 sul sito di un precedente edificio eretto nel 1479. L'edificio rinascimentale a tre piani fu costruito secondo i progetti del capomastro di Allendorf Hans Wetzel.
    Nel 1819 il sorprendente municipio cadde vittima di un incendio in città, ma fu poi ricostruito. L'edificio ha anche una torre con carillon integrato. L'amministrazione comunale è ancora oggi ospitata nei suoi locali.
