    L'area intorno alla chiesa di Sollia nella valle di Atnedalen fu abitata nel XVII secolo. Poiché la strada per la chiesa più vicina sul monte di Ringebu era piuttosto faticosa e problematica, nel 1738 si decise di costruire una chiesa separata a Sollia. Una chiesa in legno molto bella.
