    Ottimo posto da visitare - ricorda che devi camminare con la tua bicicletta attraverso il parco. Un sacco di salmone nella scala del pesce e un sacco di leoni marini e foche che cercano di catturare un pasto facile. E... un sacco di diportisti nervosi che entrano ed escono dalle chiuse. La piccola chiusa è la più attiva, molti piccoli pescherecci e lunghe storie dei pescatori sulla loro fortuna in acqua...

    Ballard Locks è il sistema di chiusura più trafficato del paese e una delle attrazioni turistiche più iconiche di Seattle. Possono attraversare piccoli kayak e barche grandi fino a 760 piedi, che puoi vedere attraverso un sistema di passerelle oscillanti. Una scala per pesci è qui dove puoi guardare salmoni e trombe d'acciaio che risalgono la corrente per deporre le uova.

    Sì, sì... Un punto di riferimento iconico di Seattle, divertente vedere le barche salire e scendere, interessante vedere i pesci che nuotano sulle scale di risalita e i leoni marini che cercano di catturarli prima che passino, tanti concerti estivi nei fine settimana nei giardini, bei fiori e un museo interessante, bla bla bla... Così turistico eppure così divertente da visitare. Vale la pena fermarsi, ma attenzione: bisogna smontare e portare a mano la bicicletta all'interno, e attraversare la piccola chiusa sullo stretto passaggio pedonale può essere un po' difficile. Comunque, andateci. Ne vale la pena.
