A pochi chilometri dal centro del villaggio di Hovet, in direzione di Aurland, c'è un sentiero escursionistico per l'Hivjufossen. La cascata è un'attrazione turistica e può essere raggiunta solo dopo 40 fino a 60 minuti di salita. Hivjufossen è costituito da una cascata superiore e inferiore che sono create dall'acqua del fiume Storekvelvi che scorre dal parco nazionale di Hardangervidda al parco nazionale di Hallingskarvet.
