While the intro mentions access is primarily by foot or bicycle, visitors often look for parking. There isn't a dedicated, large parking lot directly at the tower. Most visitors park at designated spots along the roads leading into the Ahrensfelder Moor, such as near the Postwiesen, and then continue on foot or bike. Arriving early, especially on weekends or during peak seasons, is advisable as spaces can fill up quickly.

The tower itself features stairs to its two platforms, making it inaccessible for wheelchairs and challenging for strollers. The paths leading to the tower and within the Ahrensfelder Moor can vary. It's best to check recent trail conditions if accessibility is a primary concern.

Are dogs allowed at the Himmelstreppe Observation Tower and on trails in the Ahrensfelder Moor?

Dogs are generally welcome on trails in the Ahrensfelder Moor, but it is crucial to keep them on a leash at all times. This is a nature reserve, and strict rules are in place to protect wildlife, especially ground-nesting birds.
