    L'Abbazia di San Nicola a Passau è un ex monastero dei Canonici Regolari Agostiniani.

    Oggi è la casa madre delle Suore dell'Ordine Teutonico.

    Nel 1972, la cripta fu ricostruita e riaperta nel 1978, anno di fondazione della moderna università. Dall'inizio del 2012 alla fine del 2016, la chiesa è stata sottoposta a un'ampia ristrutturazione. Oggi risplende in un rinnovato splendore e invita i visitatori a soffermarsi.
