Il vecchio municipio di Filsen è una delle poche case a graticcio ancora conservate, costruite sopra un arco. La sua struttura a graticcio porta l'anno 1611. L'arco e la parte inferiore, tuttavia, sono probabilmente molto più antichi. Da qui partiva un fossato che si estendeva fuori dal villaggio fino al Reno. Da qui partiva anche l'unica strada carrabile per Osterspai e il sentiero per i carri attraverso l'altopiano del Reno, che già i Romani utilizzavano.
