Fa molto caldo d'estate. Porta molte bevande.

Starting from Bonifacio, a round trip can range from 2 to 3 hours, covering several kilometers and offering diverse coastal views. There are various routes, including circular options that explore the dramatic cliffs and lead down to Saint-Antoine beach, which can take longer depending on your pace and stops.

What is the terrain like on the trails to Phare de Pertusato, and is it suitable for all fitness levels?

The trails to Phare de Pertusato are mostly well-trodden paths and dirt roads. While generally considered easy, some sections can be uneven, dusty, or involve gentle inclines and declines. The path down to Saint-Antoine beach, for instance, involves a descent. Most visitors with average fitness levels will find the main route manageable, but comfortable walking shoes are recommended. It's not typically suitable for wheelchairs due to the natural terrain.

Beyond the lighthouse, what other natural landmarks or viewpoints should hikers look out for?

The area is rich in natural wonders. Keep an eye out for the unique geological formations known as 'lapiaz,' created by rainwater dissolving the limestone cliffs. You'll also encounter the distinctive rock formation called the 'Gouvernail de la Corse' (Rudder of Corsica). The pristine Saint-Antoine beach is a popular spot for a refreshing swim after your hike, and the panoramic views of Bonifacio's citadel, the Lavezzi Islands, and even Sardinia are spectacular from various points along the trail.

What are the parking options near Phare de Pertusato, and is public transport available?
