    È presieduto dal Municipio costruito nel 1869 da Ignacio María de Michelena. In esso puoi vedere monumenti emblematici come la Torre de la Hierba, la Torre de los Púlpitos e soprattutto la Torre de Bujaco accanto all'Eremo della Pace.

    Nei suoi portici si insediarono mercanti e artigiani con stabili organizzazioni, fu e continua ad essere anche il luogo dove si svolgono le manifestazioni e gli spettacoli della città..., in molte occasioni fu adibito ad arena della corrida o per ospitare tornei; vi sono transitate parate militari e processioni della Settimana Santa.
