    L'attuale municipio è già il quarto della città. Un precedente era addirittura in cima al ponte su Maas. Nel 1783 il consiglio comunale si trasferì nell'ex palazzo del principe-vescovo di Liegi. L'edificio fu bruciato nel 1914 ma fu ricostruito nel suo stato originale dopo la guerra. Nel cortile si trovano il monumento ai caduti delle due guerre mondiali e anche un'opera d'arte in vetro che è un inno al sassofono e alla Mosa.
