    Costruito all'inizio del XIV secolo, il castello fu la residenza dei duchi di Masovia, ricostruito da Casimiro il Grande e alla fine del XV secolo divenne parte della tenuta reale. In seguito fu distrutta a causa di guerre e spartizioni. Le uniche cose rimaste della sede dei sovrani della Mazovia sono la Torre dell'Orologio e la Torre Nobile, così come un frammento delle mura difensive, che erano le mura dell'ex abbazia.
