È previsto che venga completamente ristrutturata secondo gli standard più recenti entro il 2024, con una rampa e diverse scale per il binario 1 e un ascensore per il binario 2. Purtroppo, questo "standard" include anche la demolizione e la rimozione degli edifici della stazione non più necessari, il che, pur riducendo il livello di vandalismo, lascia solo un "buco" anonimo che conduce al tunnel di accesso.

    Due stazioni ferroviarie: quella inferiore si chiama “Lengerich-Hohne Pbf.”. Sembra che qui non circoli più nessun treno da molto tempo, anche se la tratta (Ibbenbüren-Gütersloh Nord) è attualmente in riparazione dalla Lappwaldbahn e viene spesso utilizzata con il vapore dalla "eisenbahn-tradition.de" di Lengerich treni.
