How challenging is the hike to the summit of Weißmainfelsen?

Yes, Weißmainfelsen is accessible via several well-known hiking trails, including the Mittelweg, Quellenweg, and Goetheweg. These trails offer diverse experiences, ranging from moderate walks to routes that require good fitness. For detailed planning and to find a route that matches your skill level, you can explore various options starting from Karches or the Ochsenkopf summit.

Where is the best place to park when visiting Weißmainfelsen, and is public transport an option?

The Weißmainquelle itself, considered one of the main sources of the Main river, is a tranquil spot featuring a stone-encased spring and moss-covered stones nestled within a beech forest. At the summit, an orientation table made of Ochsenkopf-Proterobas helps identify the various distant landmarks visible from the viewpoint.
