While the intro mentions family-friendly aspects, specific rules for dogs are not detailed. Generally, dogs are permitted on trails like the Sakatah trail if kept on a leash. Beyond the natural beauty of the lake itself and its connection to the Sakatah trail, visitors can appreciate the natural shorelines with cattails and bulrushes, which provide essential habitat for wildlife.
