Dovresti affrontare il Maiwand e il Maiwandgraben solo se conosci il terreno o andare con qualcuno che ha abbastanza esperienza con entrambi. Solo ieri (03/12/2022) tre escursionisti sono caduti mortalmente nel Maiwandgraben.

"Nessun problema per alpinisti esperti" è ovviamente un pericoloso eufemismo: qui a marzo 2022 sono caduti tre escursionisti che ovviamente hanno seguito questa valutazione e ignorato il segnale di avvertimento. La valutazione seguente: SAC-T5 dice tutto:
“Terreno esposto, impegnativo, ghiacciai e abeti con rischio di scivolamento. (Quindi tutte le spie dovrebbero accendersi per l'alpinista esperto a marzo!) Ottime capacità di orientamento, buona esperienza alpinistica in alta montagna ed è richiesta una conoscenza elementare di maneggio di piccozze e corda”.
