    Presumibilmente qui per molto tempo esisteva un ponte che dava accesso dalla sponda nord del fiume al convento agostiniano di Beddgelert. Nel 1623 fu registrato che il ponte necessitava di riparazioni e nel 1778 fu riparato e ampliato. Sembra che gran parte del ponte sia stato spazzato via dall'alluvione del 1799 e sia stato nuovamente riparato e raddoppiato in larghezza tra il 1802 e il 1811.
