    Il 6 dicembre 1890 fu inaugurato il monumento in bronzo allo scultore originario di Pulsnitz Ernst Rietschel (1804–1861). Su una base di granito si erge la figura in bronzo, più grande del vero, dello scultore, raffigurato in abiti semplici, che fu uno dei più importanti scultori tedeschi del tardo classicismo. Il monumento, realizzato da Gustav Adolph Kietz, allievo di Rietschel, reca sulla facciata l'iscrizione: “Ernst Rietschel”. Sul retro del monumento c'è l'iscrizione: “Eretto dal Fondo statale per l'arte in collaborazione con la città di Pulsnitz nel 1890.
