    La fontana è costituita da una vasca ottagonale con cartigli degli stemmi delle sette città principesche dell'Alta Austria (Enns, Freistadt, Gmunden, Linz, Steyr, Vöcklabruck e Wels) realizzati da Josef Huber sulle pareti laterali. Il pilastro centrale è in marmo bianco e mostra quattro teste di leone zampillanti tra quattro volute e sopra di esse quattro delfini zampillanti. Una statua di Nettuno creata da Johann Spatz ha dato il nome alla fontana. Ma la statua è scomparsa

    La fontana ottagonale risale al 17° secolo Johann Baptist Spatz progettò le prime sculture e la statua di Nettuno. Dopo che la fontana fu spostata nel 1872, oggi possiamo ammirarla di nuovo nella sua posizione originaria. Nel 1979 i campi vuoti delle pareti laterali furono riempiti dallo scultore Josef Huber con gli stemmi delle sette città sovrane di Linz, Steyr, Wels, Gmunden, Vöcklabruck, Freistadt ed Enns.
