    Il ponte allungato è ora un punto di riferimento di Pirmasens ed è stato costruito dal 1927 al 1928. Il fattore scatenante della costruzione è stato lo sviluppo di un nuovo terreno edificabile dietro la Blümelbachtal. Il ponte è stato realizzato in cemento armato ed è costituito da sette arcate serrate. Complessivamente è lungo 212 metri e l'arco principale ha un'altezza del pilastro di 24,84 metri.
