    La Collegiata di Santa Croce è una chiesa ad aula gotica a tre navate e fu costruita tra il 1416 e il 1420 dopo che l'edificio precedente era caduto vittima di un incendio. Dal 1605 iniziarono diverse trasformazioni, a cominciare dall'erezione della torre. La Santa Croce, una delle opere d'arte più importanti dell'Alto Medioevo tedesco, trovò posto per la prima volta sull'altare maggiore nel 1628. Con la conversione del 1605, la chiesa Pollinger iniziò a diventare ciò che oggi tanto si ammira: un'armoniosa unità di tre epoche.
