    Durante la Guerra degli Ottant'anni (dal 1568 al 1648), la chiesa cattolica cadde in mano ai protestanti. Durante questo periodo, i cattolici pregavano nelle chiese segrete. Nel 1798 la chiesa fu restituita ai cattolici. Questa chiesa fu costruita dall'architetto P. van Genk nel 1897 in stile neogotico, riconoscibile dalla sua snella torre appuntita.
