The Schwörstein (Ritterstein Nr. 72) is a significant historical man-made monument nestled in the heart of Germany's Palatinate Forest, standing at an elevation of 544 meters. Located northwest of Eußerthal, in the saddle between the Harzofenberg, Kneipenkopf, and Hermeskopf, this ancient stone served as a crucial boundary marker and meeting point for foresters of the historic Haingeraidenwälder. Its name, "Schwörstein" or "oath stone," directly reflects its past as a site where foresters were sworn in to protect the communal woodlands.

How long does it typically take to hike to Schwörstein (Ritterstein Nr. 72)?

The duration of your hike to Schwörstein (Ritterstein Nr. 72) largely depends on your starting point and chosen route.
