    Questo bellissimo edificio, inaugurato a metà degli anni '60 dell'Ottocento, sostituisce il vecchio municipio del XVI secolo che un tempo occupava questa posizione, che fu demolito nel 1858. Ci sono prove che il primo municipio fosse situato in un orologio proprio qui nella piazza del mercato, che fu poi sostituito dalla sede della corporazione.
    Questo edificio fa anche parte del Blue Plaque Trail della Wokingham Society.
