    Un ponte che svolge la sua funzione da oltre 800 anni.
    Il gotico Hoog- o Grootbrug risale al XIII secolo.
    Ha quattro archi: tre collegano l'alto con la sponda bassa del Beneden-Dijle e il quarto copre il vliet all'IJzerenleen.
    Da notare anche l'ex casello a pedaggio sospeso sull'acqua presso l'edificio "Restaurant Madrid". Il casello è stato anche chiamato "l'avanzo" perché è sospeso fino al fiume.
