Attualmente la Torre de Bellaguarda è una torre di avvistamento ricostruita nel luogo che, tempo addietro, occupava la torre originaria. Attorno a questa torre sorse un nucleo di case, che oggi è conosciuto come il quartiere Bellaguarda de Altea.
L'attuale torre è un ottimo punto di osservazione, in quanto dispone di scale per accedere alla sua parte superiore, da dove si può vedere una perfetta vista panoramica della Sierra de Bernia e gran parte del nord di Altea.
