    La chiesa, rivolta a est, intonacata di bianco, ha una pianta rettangolare ed è coronata da una torretta sul tetto. Le strette finestre sono disegnate con archi a sesto acuto. L'arredamento è moderno, ad eccezione di una pala d'altare lignea del XVIII secolo e di un quadro vespro intagliato della metà del XV secolo.

    La leggenda narra che in questo luogo sia stato ritrovato un calice rubato per la comunione. Il punto veniva contrassegnato con un bastone di legno di tiglio. Si dice che poi diventò verde e da lì nacque il cosiddetto tiglio "millenario". In segno di gratitudine per la riscoperta, il vescovo Alberto II di Halberstadt fece costruire questa chiesa nel 1334. Da allora la chiesa è diventata meta di pellegrinaggio. La chiesa è in stile romanico e presenta interni modernizzati.

    Piccola chiesetta molto bella che è amorevolmente curata. Se vuoi entrare e ti trovi davanti a una porta chiusa a chiave, puoi chiamare il numero sul pannello informativo accanto alla porta. Con un po' di fortuna ti verrà concesso l'ingresso. Nel cortile si trovano i resti di un tiglio e un altare con una storia movimentata. Qui puoi ottenere un timbro del pellegrino per il Cammino di Santiago.
