    La fortezza si trova su una collina alla foce del fiume Fuengirola e offre viste mozzafiato sul Mediterraneo. Le origini del castello risalgono al X secolo, quando fu costruito dai Mori per difendere la costa dagli invasori. Nel corso dei secoli venne ampliato e ricostruito più volte, soprattutto dopo la conquista cristiana nel XV secolo. Oggi, le mura e le torri restaurate del castello sono un impressionante esempio dell'architettura dei tempi passati. Da non perdere anche la zona che circonda il castello con il suo parco ben curato!
