Alla fine del XV secolo fu iniziata la costruzione di una chiesa in stile gotico fiammingo e Kempen. La torre fu costruita intorno al 1480. Nel 1882 la chiesa fu restaurata. Nel 1944 l'edificio venne fatto saltare dai tedeschi, distruggendo i famosi stalli del coro. Il restauro fu completato nel 1951.
