    Il monumento ai caduti protetto del centro di Tessenderlo è stato inaugurato nel 1925. È stato realizzato dallo scultore Jules Jourdain, morto nel 1957, che annovera tra le sue numerose realizzazioni pubbliche la statua di Justus Lipsius del 1909 nell'omonima via a Leuven.

    Oltre a monumenti e statue di guerra come quella di Jean van Ruysbroeck nella cattedrale di Sint-Michiels a Bruxelles, ha prodotto principalmente busti e bassorilievi.
