    Nel 1892 l'ingegnere ferroviario Bopp, responsabile della costruzione della linea ferroviaria Bergen-Sassnitz, acquistò la proprietà. Fece costruire il castello, parti del quale sono una copia del castello di Lichtenstein vicino a Reutlingen. Nel 1896 il direttore della banca Rudolf F. acquistò il castello e dopo il 1920 i proprietari cambiarono più frequentemente. I lavori di restauro ebbero luogo nel 1960, ma l'edificio continuò a deteriorarsi. Nel piccolo castello vivevano diverse famiglie, che si sono trasferite nel 1992. L'edificio è di proprietà privata dal 1997 e da allora è stato ampiamente ricostruito e ristrutturato. È utilizzato come edificio residenziale.
