    La piazza Fonte da Gadanha è dominata dal Lago Gadanha. Accanto si trova il Convento São Francisco del XIII secolo, risalente al regno di re Alfonso III, che servì da caserma dopo la secolarizzazione. Da qui si gode di una magnifica vista sul castello e sulla fortezza. La piazza è circondata da altri interessanti monumenti e fontane.
