Per prima cosa abbiamo preso il traghetto Isprins attraverso l'Hollandsfjord. Dal molo alla lingua "Engabreen" del secondo ghiacciaio più grande della Norvegia, lo Svartisen, sono 90 minuti rilassati. Il panorama è mozzafiato dappertutto. Ci sono alcune compagnie assicurative sulla montagna stessa. Sono essenziali passo sicuro e buone scarpe.

Parco nazionale Saltfjellet-Svartisen a nord-ovest della città di Mo i Rana. Ha un totale di 60 rami del ghiacciaio. La Glomtal si trova tra i due ghiacciai principali, quello orientale (Østertaleis) e quello occidentale. Lo Svartisen si estende quasi fino all'Holandsfjord, rendendolo il ghiacciaio d'Europa più vicino al livello del mare.
