    La chiesa fu menzionata per la prima volta nel 1165. Dopo essere stata distrutta dai Turchi, fu riconsacrata nel 1534. Nel 1660 fu gravemente danneggiata da un incendio e si dovette costruire una chiesa di emergenza. L'attuale edificio della chiesa fu ricostruito tra il 1727 e il 1735 da Sebastian Tengg e consacrato nel 1735, anche se l'edificio fu completato solo nel 1747. Nel 1755 fu innalzato il campanile della chiesa. L'esterno è stato restaurato nel 1912 e tra il 1961 e il 1965, e l'interno tra il 1969 e il 1970.
