    La capanna Vauban fa parte di una rete di posti di vedetta istituiti nel XVII secolo, situati lungo la costa della Manica. Prende il nome in riferimento all'architetto militare Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban (1633 - 1707).
    Questo grande architetto del re fu incaricato da Luigi XIV di fortificare le coste francesi di fronte alla minaccia inglese.

    La Cabane Vauban fu costruita nel XVII secolo e prende il nome dal famoso ingegnere francese Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban, responsabile della progettazione e del rafforzamento di numerose fortificazioni costiere durante il regno di Luigi XIV.
