È liberamente accessibile e visitabile gratuitamente. Costruito nell'XI secolo, il castello fu distrutto dalle truppe svedesi durante la Guerra dei Trent'anni e mai più ricostruito.
Un po' sotto le rovine del castello si trova lo Zehnstadel. Questa casa a graticcio del 1511 è ancora nelle sue condizioni originali ed è quindi l'edificio più antico di Aitrach.
