    Nel monastero mercenario di San Juan de Poio, spicca la chiesa costruita nel XVII secolo che riflette il gusto per la combinazione di forme classiche e barocche. All'interno si conserva una bella pala d'altare del '700, in stile churrigueresco, e nella navata sinistra il sepolcro di Santa Trahamunda (molto venerato nel comune), degno di nota anche il chiostro delle processioni (sec. XVI), con fontana barocca e una scala originale. E il chiostro della croce (XVIII secolo) con il suo impressionante mosaico di 200 m2 del Cammino di Santiago. di lunghezza.

    Da segnalare anche la sua biblioteca, il museo del mosaico, la "Escola de Canteiros" o la sede dei corsi universitari estivi. Attualmente il convento è dedicato ad un ostello turistico gestito dai monaci.

    La fondazione di questo monastero, che secondo la tradizione risale al VII secolo, è attribuita al benedettino Fructuosus di Braga. La chiesa del XVII secolo
    Century presenta una combinazione stilistica di classicismo e barocco e ospita la tomba sveva-visigota della santa galiziana Trahamunda, patrona di tutti i nostalgici. Il monastero ha due chiostri: il chiostro processionale del
